"Let's stick together, yeah, yeah, yeah! / Why don't you and I combine?" Doesn't that song just make you want to get up and dance? Makes me think of the movie The Parent Trap also. Anyway, that movie is getting a bit off topic. Last night I finished up another engagement photo layout for my sister and now husband!

I'm absolutely determined to get my sister's wedding album done before she moves to Germany in February with her husband who is in the Army. Which means that I'm attempting to get all of her engagement photos scrapped while I'm waiting for my cousin to send us the wedding photos. So I'm happy to say that I can now share another engagement photo layout!

I recently bought a pretty box to store some of my craft supplies in and one of them was perfect for storing all of my inks. I use my Tim Holtz Distress Inks on practically every layout and card I make so I'm constantly rifling through them and I was getting frustrated with not being able to pick out the ink I wanted without having to pull practically every ink out of the box.

It was such a joy to get back to scrapping late yesterday afternoon. I had had a particularly bad day and it felt good to submerse myself in crafting and forget about my problems for a bit.

I've been absent from my blog for nearly 3 months because I am my sister's maid of honor, I'm in the midst of helping her plan the wedding and throwing her the most amazing bridal shower ever. I wanted the theme of the bridal shower to be a secret from my sister, Caitlin, so I have been unable to post about the bridal shower until now. This past weekend was the big bridal shower bash and it went so well, I just had to share some photos of all the amazing decorations! And because this is such a monster of a post and I've been gone for so long, there is a free Silhouette cut file at the end of the this blog post!

Mixed media layout: The background was created with a variety of products. The pleated ribbon represents the fog you always think of when San Francisco comes to mind. |

It's freebie time!
Hello, fellow crafters! I know how all of us scrapbookers love taking lots of photos…but what to do with all of those photos of you kids making silly faces or your dogs romping through the snow…hmm….

I just wanted to share with you a few photos of a project I made in December last year.
This was a pretty intensive, custom-made disc case for one of my cousin's clients. I went all out on this steampunk themed case which I created to [almost!] perfectly match the wedding.

I often create custom disc cases to hold CDs of my cousin's photography for her clients.
In this particular case, I did a lot of experimenting to see how I could yes recreate a bokeh effect on paper to match her photography. Here is what I ended up with!

Last week my sister and her fiancé went on a trip to his home state, California. While on the Golden Gate Bridge Alex got down on one knee and officially proposed to my sister, Caitlin. So I of course had to make them a "Congratulations on your engagement!!!!!" card.
