Alice Scraps Wonderland

Hello, lovlies!  I hope you have all enjoyed your holiday season, no matter what it is you celebrate!

"Let's stick together, yeah, yeah, yeah! / Why don't you and I combine?"  Doesn't that song just make you want to get up and dance?  Makes me think of the movie The Parent Trap also.  Anyway, that movie is getting a bit off topic.  Last night I finished up another engagement photo layout for my sister and now husband!

I'm absolutely determined to get my sister's wedding album done before she moves to Germany in February with her husband who is in the Army.  Which means that I'm attempting to get all of her engagement photos scrapped while I'm waiting for my cousin to send us the wedding photos.  So I'm happy to say that I can now share another engagement photo layout!

UPDATE:  The link to download below includes all of the colors that have been released through Uncharted Mariner (2022)!

I recently bought a pretty box to store some of my craft supplies in and one of them was perfect for storing all of my inks.  I use my Tim Holtz Distress Inks on practically every layout and card I make so I'm constantly rifling through them and I was getting frustrated with not being able to pick out the ink I wanted without having to pull practically every ink out of the box.

I always have fun experimenting with the different styles of scrapbooking.  I know many leaders in the scrapbooking industry have a "style" and do the same type of layouts over and over again--nothing wrong with that!  I'm still finding my own style so at the moment I'm having fun, plus, I like a little variety in my life!

Happy Thursday, to you all!  Yesterday I finished up a scrapbook layout and I can't tell you how happy I was to get back to scrapping!  I have a fun vintage layout to share with you along with a lovely freebie!

It was such a joy to get back to scrapping late yesterday afternoon.  I had had a particularly bad day and it felt good to submerse myself in crafting and forget about my problems for a bit.

An Engagement | A Scrapbook Layout by Alice Scraps Wonderland

I've been absent from my blog for nearly 3 months because I am my sister's maid of honor, I'm in the midst of helping her plan the wedding and throwing her the most amazing bridal shower ever.  I wanted the theme of the bridal shower to be a secret from my sister, Caitlin, so I have been unable to post about the bridal shower until now.  This past weekend was the big bridal shower bash and it went so well, I just had to share some photos of all the amazing decorations!  And because this is such a monster of a post and I've been gone for so long, there is a free Silhouette cut file at the end of the this blog post!

I've been absent for some time on my blog due to a rush of getting some planning done for my sister's wedding and bridal shower later this summer.  I've still been working on some layouts--mostly for my sister and her fiancé so they have a scrapbook album to display at the wedding.  I'm still working through the tons of photos from their recent trip to Cali.  Today I have 2 of those pages to share!

It's been a while since I've posted anything.  I've been working on plenty of projects but finding the time to write the blog posts has been difficult.  My sister was recently engaged, however she thought her wedding would be next summer.  When her fiancé found out he was being stationed in Germany, they had to move the wedding up to this summer.  So planning and creating decorations has taken top priority in my crafting world.  I'm also the maid of honor so I'm in charge of the bridal shower as well!  There just aren't enough hours in a day!

Happy Thursday!  I have a scrapbook layout and a freebie for you today!  I saw this layout posted on Scrapbook.com that truly inspired me and I just had to try the technique.  I've been saving this technique for a water-themed layout just because it looks so much like bubbles and waves to me.

It's freebie time!

Hello, fellow crafters! I know how all of us scrapbookers love taking lots of photos…but what to do with all of those photos of you kids making silly faces or your dogs romping through the snow…hmm….

I just wanted to share with you a few photos of a project I made in December last year.

front of the case

This was a pretty intensive, custom-made disc case for one of my cousin's clients.  I went all out on this steampunk themed case which I created to [almost!] perfectly match the wedding.

I often create custom disc cases to hold CDs of my cousin's photography for her clients.

In this particular case, I did a lot of experimenting to see how I could yes recreate a bokeh effect on paper to match her photography.  Here is what I ended up with!

Last week my sister and her fiancé went on a trip to his home state, California.  While on the Golden Gate Bridge Alex got down on one knee and officially proposed to my sister, Caitlin.  So I of course had to make them a "Congratulations on your engagement!!!!!" card.

I finished my first full layout of the year and it's a whiteout!  I wanted to start off the new year with a crisp, clean look so I opted for an all white background with a few black accents to match the black and white photo.
