This Road: A Shabby Chic Wedding Scrapbook Page
I'm so happy with how it turned out and the colors from CSI's challenge #155 are just perfect--too perfect! (I'm literally grinning from ear to ear.)
I started off with white cardstock and used gesso and a mask to give half of the paper texture then dripped color mists down it. I layered on some patterned paper from Prima's Something Blue Collection on the top then added two 3x4 ATCs under the larger photo and a die cut circles under the smaller photo.
A border of lace and burlap merge the two halves along with tons of flowers, a few gems, a resin bird and feather and even a zipper.
Some thread wire and "love" die cut, flair button and brad a little something extra. And for the finishing touch--a sweet bicycle paper clip from Maya Road!
The two banners I took as inspiration from this challenge's sketch and added my journaling about a stage of life--in this case, marriage. I tied in the journaling with the bicycle theme: "Our paths have merged…so let's ride this road together!"
What stage of life would you journal and scrap about? Sound off in the comments!
Happy Scrapping!
Adrienne
