Hey, crafty friends! I'm so excited to be bringing you this video tutorial! Not only do I show you how to make these beautiful Easter eggs, but I also show you how to mix and pour quick cure resin for the moulds!

I know that resin can be kind of a scary thing, but the Alumilite Amazing Casting Resin that cures in 10 minutes is super easy to use and in my 5+ years of using it, I've only ever had one resin fail--and I think it's because one of my solutions was getting old.

So make sure that you check out my video above. I start out with pouring resin, then take you through how I attach the resin moulds to the wooden eggs.

I also give you my tips for using gesso and the Sizzix Creamy Acrylic Paints. Then finally I take you through decorating with all of the pretty flowers, die cuts and sparkly bits and bobs!

It's really fun to see these unfinished wood eggs transform right in front of your eyes so I hope go check out the video!

But it's not just the transformation. This is a great tutorial for so many reasons! I use resin moulds all of the time in my other mixed media projects, from tags to canvases. Plus my tip for using gesso on untextured surfaces can translate to other types of projects as well.

I hope that you check out my video tutorial and that you enjoy this crafty little DIY. Until next time, happy crafting!
