Handy Man Tool Belt: A Handmade Birthday Card

by - 7:59:00 PM

I crafted to my little heart's content last week, turning out two cards and a layout, not to mention designing a banner, card and tag in Silhouette Studio Designer's Edition (I will post these sometime next month)!

handmade card, cardmaking, card making, tool belt, tools, hammer, pliers, tape measure, ruler tape, enamel dots, distress ink, cardstock, scrapbooking, crafting, paper crafting, brads, interactive, movable parts, die cuts, Silhouette, Doodlebug, Tim Holtz, Bazzill, American Crafts

I found this wonderful tool belt gift card holder idea on Pinterest from The Examined Life blog.  So I scraplifted the idea but turned it into a card.  I created a tag that fit into one of the pockets for the birthday salutation.

I used brads to make the pliers and the vintage styled tape measure movable.  The "stitching" was done with my Silhoutte sketch pen and my Cameo.  The rest of the card is pretty simple--cardstock with distress ink and enamel dots!
