Tips and Tricks for Decorating a Mini Album
Ever wonder what adhesives are best for adding pages and decorations to your mini album? Or maybe you've ended up with a mini album that is stuffed a little too full? Whether you are a beginner or an intermediate mini album maker, this tutorial is for you! (Hey, it's for you experts too if you are just looking for some good decorating ideas!)
Last we left off on this project, we had just finished putting together the album with chipboard, fabric and Sizzix Texture Roll. Now it's time to decorate this album and I've got a full video tutorial for you sharing my tips and tricks!
In it, you'll learn how:
- to add trim
- create flip books
- make pockets
- tips on types of adhesives
- tips so you don't overfill your mini album
- and more!
Plus, you can shop all of the essential supplies you'll need to make your own mini album at the bottom of this post! And if you are looking for the perfect spring floral collection, be sure to check out Serene Petals!
I won't go into detail here in this post because I cover everything in my video. So make sure you head over to my YouTube channel to check it all out! But I will share a few photos here.
In this second video, you'll also see how I layered elements to decorate the cover.
And I share how I made these internal page flips and pockets.
I also talk about creating placeholders for photos that you might add later by creating mattes and how to decorate around them.
I also share how I created a little flip book and the best dimensional paper flowers to use on the inside pages.
I hope this album inspires you to make your own custom mini album, and until next time, happy crafting!
