We've seen embroidery stitching on cards, but how about fabric? These textural cards in are bringing pretty green hues and tons of different embellishment touches.

Hey, crafty friend! Today over at Prima Marketing, it's all about the color green! And to celebrate this pretty spring hue, I made a set of textural green cards, so let's get right into the tutorial! (You can shop the essential supply list below!)

I used an arch shaped die to cut the base of the card, cutting the folded shape and single layer base sheet. To the single layer, I sewed on some of the Miel Embroidered Fabric for a soft touch.

Then I glued this fabric covered piece to the folded card base with some adhesive runner.

Then I used a stitching die to cut out a piece of green patterned paper from the Serene Petals 12x12 Paper Pad. If you don't have a stitching die like this, just use an awl or a needle to poke holes in your die cut. I used DMC's Color Variations Embroidery Floss #4069 Autumn Leaves to go around the border of this stitching die.

Using some foam adhesive, I glued the embroidered paper to the fabric covered base. On top of that I added ephemera from both Serene Petals and Postcards from Paradise. I chose al white and green ephemera, like leaves, and covered up any other colors on this ephemera with paper flowers, moulds and other ephemera.

The Redesign flower mould was covered in Finn's Clear Gesso, then painted with her Green Apple Impasto and dry brushed with the Snow White Impasto. I glued it down, then added the paper flowers around the card with hot glue.

I fussy cut out a letter from the Postcards from Paradise Artist's Trading Cards set and added an ephemera sentiment from Serene Petals on top of it. Each card also got a cardstock sticker from Serene Petals at the bottom of the card. Pro Tip: If you are popping your cardstock stickers up with several layers of foam like I did here, place the sticker on a piece of white cardstock and then cut around it--this will add additional sturdiness to your sticker.

Each card then got a butterfly chipboard sticker and some crystals from Serene Petals. The finishing touch was splattering on some white Lustre Brush paint.

From the fabric and embroidery floss, to the paper flowers and mould, there are a lot of different textures in this card that are sure to please! I hope this inspires you to try adding fabric to your next card, and until next time, happy crafting!
