It's time for inspiration using a brand new Prima Marketing collection!

Today is the release of the new French Blue collection designed by Frank Garcia for Prima Marketing. This collection is filled with some of Frank's signatures--pretty vintage and shabby chic elements and lots of pink. But like the name of this collection, it also features some beautiful pastel blues.

I'm known for my love of monochromatic projects, so today I'll be focusing on Frank's signature color, pink. There are a few things that I think of when I imagine France: macarons, ornate pastel hued doors and haute couture.

This collection has a beautiful mannequin that shows up in the paper, ephemera and in the mould from the collection. I decided to create a representation of a vintage French shoppe window with this collection. I started out by covering the sides of a 6 inch round canvas with Finnabair's Impasto Paint in Dusty Rose

I then used Soft Matte Gel to adhere a 6 inch circle of patterned paper to the top of the canvas after distressing the edges. For a hint of texture, I applied some Modeling Paste through the Dandelions Stencil onto the paper.

A few moulds that I think go really well with this collection include the Sharon Ziv Window to the Soul mould and the Redesign Delicate Flora mould. I used the large window frame, the decorative semi-circle and some of the flower sprigs from the two moulds in this project as well as the mannequin from the French Blue Moulds, moulding them from white resin.

I used the same Dusty Rose Impasto Paint to add color to these moulds. I spray the moulds with a bit of water then add watered down paint to the moulds. Before the paint dries, I use a soft cloth or wet wipe to remove paint off the highlights. This is an easy way to add a shabby chic touch to your moulds.

I then layered these moulds along with pink flowers from the collection, popping the window frame up with flowers on either side of it. I tucked in sisal fibers  and the Delicate Flora moulds in the amongst the flowers. The mannequin mould was placed on a piano keyboard chipboard sticker from the collection and added slightly off center of the window frame. I just think that every haute couture shoppe must have a piano to serenade all of the fashionable ladies.

The flowers, moulds and canvas got some White Crackle Paste for some extra shabby chic texture. I used the Soft Matte Gel to apply Art Stones to the project then added some pearls, because every lady needs some pearls to clutch when her best friend whispers the latest gossip to her while shopping!
