Hi, crafty friend! I love mini albums as they are just so fun and whimsical! And what is easier than having a chipboard base already to decorate!?

Prima just released their Homegrown collection. The mice from Homebaker are back, but this time, they are out in the garden! This collection is perfect for memory keeping your garden photos or to create a custom garden journal that you can store all your notes from the growing season in.  

And with the new Storybook Moments chipboard album, it couldn't be easier to create your own mini album. This little house/birdhouse shaped mini album comes with a front and back cover and several pages plus loose leaf binder rings to keep it all together. 

And the other new product with this release is Color Chronicles, a set of color coordinating matte acrylic paints that are perfect for painting your moulds, painting the chipboard album base, using on home decor projects and more! 

I go into detail in my latest Youtube tutorial, sharing how I created this adorable mini album using the Color Chronicles paint and Storybook Moments album. In the video, you'll learn how to create templates for tracing to cover your album in patterned paper, how to create several different types of interactive photo elements, plus get decorating ideas. 

So I won't go into all the details here, but I do want to share some of the photos so you can see more of the details here. 

In this album, I create several different types of interactive elements. Above is a photo of the simple coptic bound mini book, that I also added some of the ephemera to. It has a button helping keep the mini book closed. Then I created this tag flip that I keep closed with yarn from the collection. 

Just look at that bee on that peony in my garden!!

I also created a pull out element that features veggies from my garden that is tacked in place with one of the stickers from the collection. 

It has photos on the front...

...and the back.

I also used ephemera with foam adhesive to hold another little mini book closed. And of course I decorated the outside of this one with a cute piece of ephemera too. I just love this mouse picking apples!

and I also have pages with no photos just to let these gorgeous papers shine. I added a watering can and apple ephemera to this, plus a pice of a journaling notecard that I die cut with a nesting label die. 

The stickers are also perfect for decorating the interactive flips--major impact with no dimension, keeping everything nice and contained. 

In the video I also share how to make a pocket to hold cards and photos in as well.

The 3x4 journaling notecards are the perfect size for this mini album. 

I even created my own custom color matching cardstock by painting white cardstock with the Color Chronicles paint.

I just wanted to an excuse to share a photo of my hydrangea bush! Love that it matches the blue in this collection so well.

And of course each page got a little lace trim and the entire album closes with some chiffon ribbon. But the cover is my favorite part--those moulds!!!

That little mouse on a swing in the apple tree is one of my favorite parts of this collection, so of course she got featured on my first project.

I didn't do the coloring of the moulds in the YouTube video, but I did create a Reel, so keep your eye out for that! I used the Decadent Pies Watercolor set and the Color Chronicles to paint these moulds.
