How to Alter Wax Candles with Stamps
Learn how to customize your candles with stamps. This technique is perfect for creating your home decor or holiday decor. And it's easier than you think!
Hey, crafty friend! I've put the latest Sizzix Studio release to good use by customizing some wax candles with stamps. Yes, you read that correctly--stamps!
This technique is super easy and you probably already have all of the supplies you need laying around your craft room or your house.
You can shop the full supply list at the bottom of this post.
But I won't go into how to do it here, because I have a full-length video tutorial for you over on my YouTube channel. I go into all of the details on not only how to alter your wax candles with stamps, but also how you can change the color of your candle pillar holders too.
While I did a set of gothic Halloween candles, I can totally see this being done for everyday decor or for holiday candles. In fact, I may just try my hand at it, so stay tuned!
But while you are here, let me show you a few of the details on these candles.
I kept the stamping simple, but I did add some scrolls to the back side of the candles.
And I think these candles could totally fit in with shabby chic home decor if they are placed on a different candle holder.
Speaking of the holders, these came from Dollar Tree. They were a brassy gold and I changed them over to black and silver using a handful of supplies. If you want to learn how to make your color change stick, be sure to watch my video!
And that's it! I hope you enjoyed a closer look at these altered candles and candle pillar holders. Oh, but maybe you want to see the larger picture here to get a look at my Halloween decor before you go? Wish granted!
I got these paintings from Grandin Road several years ago as a birthday present. My family knows how much I love corvids! Be sure to subscribe to my YouTube channel if you haven't already. Until next time, happy crafting!
