Thank you cards aren't just for wedding or shower gifts. They can be for any gift or anything!

Times are strange but it was important for me to help my niece have as normal a first birthday as possible. But it was coming down to the wire and I was scrambling to get decor done. Luckily, this little altered art project didn't take very long.

I had been wanting to create a smooth, blended background for a card recently and my cousin's birthday gave me the perfect excuse. It was his sweet 16 and with COVID-19, we couldn't celebrate his birthday in person with him. So I wanted to make a special handmade card that we could mail with a gift card inside. 

I love handmade cards. My family members all get handmade cards from me for holidays and birthdays and I love making them for my friends when I have the time. But sometimes you need to create a beautiful card that looks like you spend hours on it in no time flat.

I love a good top 10 list almost as much as I love scrapbooking. Maybe it's the social media manager aspect of my life that has me so in love with lists like this. Today I thought I'd combine two of my favorite things with a top 10 list of my favorite scrapbooking tools!

There is something so quaint about a shabby potting shed or cottage. More than that, I love gardening. I have irises, lilies, peonies, echinacea, poppies and more in my garden. There is nothing better than looking out your window and seeing a flower in full bloom.

Beginning your journey into the art of mixed media can be an intimidating one. There are so many products and techniques it can be overwhelming.

When it comes to learning about how to use different mixed media products, my best advice is to just play around. Though I do have a few basic tips.

One of the main reasons we scrapbook is to preserve our memories. But those memories will mean nothing to future generations without context.

When I'm with her, I just can't stop staring at her. My niece is utterly precious and I don't want to miss a single minute.
