SBC Fest Jamie Pate Class Inspired Christmas Tag
It's time for another SBC Fest and I'm bringing the tag energy!
Hey, crafty friends! I always love Jamie Pate's style and I so enjoyed her class. If you missed any of the SBC Fest classes, don't worry, because Scrapbook.com keeps them up for FREE forever! So you can go back and watch and get inspiration and knowledge any time you want. Check out the latest SBC Fest over on their website, or previous SBC Fest classes on their YouTube channel.
Jamie created an incredible mini album but of course the point of SBC Fest, is to take away techniques and ideas and apply it to your own style of crafting. I love a good tag and so I created a tag with some of the ideas, modeling this after the cover of Jamie's mini album. (You can shop the full supply list for this tag at the bottom of this blog post!)
Now just like Jamie did in her homework video, I added Snowlake Pops of Color through the Snowflake Stencil onto a piece of 6x8 White Mixed Media Paper. I set this aside to dry completely--this is really important!
Next, I moved on to die cutting two of the Nested Tags, one from a patterned paper in the Snow Days 6x8 Paper Pad and the other from some vellum. I also die cut a smaller Nested Tree from another piece of the Snow Day paper and some Snowflakes from the Holographic pad.
Then I stamped out a sentiment from the Wordfetti Fa La La stamp set and the Sizzix Jolly Sentiments Stamp. I used the coordinating die in the Jolly Sentiments Stamp to die cut out the circle stamp and then used my paper trimmer to cut out the Wordfetti sentiment
Once the Pops of Color background was completely dry, I die cut out one of the larger Nested Tree dies from the background paper. I lined up the smaller tree on top and punched a small hole in the tops of the trees to make them tags.
To assemble, tied some Prima Marketing ribbon through the tops of both tag layers. Then I used liquid glue to adhere a large snowflake to the vellum tag. I tied some ribbon in a bow through the two tree die cuts and added them to the tag with some 3mm thick foam adhesive.
I cut some notched banners from some of my leftover patterned paper and added them with 1mm thick foam under the trees. Then Popped on the stamped sentiments.
For a finishing touch, I added one of the smaller snowflakes and some Spellbinders Opal gems! I think this is so delicate, ethereal and pretty. Don't forget that you can still access the supply lists and everything you need for the latest SBC Fest over on the Scrapbook.com website. Until next time, happy crafting!
