DIY Boho Woodland Felt Christmas Ornaments
These felt ornaments are super easy to make using the Felt Stitch and Create collection from Spellbinders!
Hi, crafty friend! I just love the new Felt Stitch and Create collection and Merino Wool from Spellbinders. These dies make it super easy to put together cute little felt plushies. (You can shop the products I used for this project at the bottom of this post!)
Each die set comes with all of the dies you need to cut out a felt shape, and all of the dies (except for the tiny ones likes the eyes, nose, cheeks, etc.) punch out all the holes you need to stitch the pieces together. Plus, each die comes with a code on the back so you can access Spellbinders' tutorial videos that show how each felt plushie is put together.
I used the Snowy Owl and Forest Fox to make these two Christmas tree ornaments. I cut each out from the Holiday and Trend Merino Wool Felt packs. I followed the video for the owl and the fox to put each of these together, sewing a little loop of cotton cord into the head to turn them into ornaments. For stuffing, I used scraps of felt.
The Snowy Owl comes with a little flower die and I used it to create a flower crown for both the owl and the fox. I think the flower crowns give them the cutest little boho woodland vibe.
You could give these as a gift, or even attach them to your presents or stockings for even more fun ways to use them. I think another fun idea would be to add them to a decorative box or tiered tray for displaying on a counter as decor. (I'm going to be giving these to my sister, who has an animal themed Christmas tree!)
The ideas are endless and there are sooo many cute designs. I also got a candy cane from Spellbinders, so I'll be sharing a project with that one later as well. Until next time, happy crafting!
