Finn's Metallique, Sparks and Opal Magic paints make it super easy to create a sparkly project. I used all three to create this sparkly little bee. So let's dive right into this quick and easy tutorial!

This bee is an 2 layer MDF piece and I painted both pieces with Finn's Black Gesso. This was probably the most time consuming part of the project. But the black base helps the paint stick even better, and creates the dark base for the magic of the Opal Magic paint.

Once the gesso was dry, I painted the top layer with the Raven Black Sparks paint. I used the Brass Hardware Metallique paint for the body of the bee and the Rose Gold Opal Magic paint for the bee's wings and eyes.

While I was using the Brass Hardware and Rose Gold paints, I also added Brass Hardware to a small Baroque Frames mould and some ferns from the Lost in Wonderland Following Alice mould. I used small touches of the Rose Gold paint to highlight the texture of the moulds.

Once the paint was dry, I glued the two layers together and added the frame mould, offsetting it from the center of the bee's body. Then I glued a piece of cardboard in the center of the frame to help hold up the next layers.

On top of the cardboard and frame mould, I added a piece of leaf-shaped lace, a second piece of cardboard, then another piece of lace to create small bits of space between the two pieces of lace.

Next, I added two of the Unearthed flowers with some sisal fibers, leaving a small bit of space in between. In that space, I stuck in the two fern moulds pointing in opposite directions. Then I added one of the dark copper flowers from the Beautiful Calm set of flowers to the top of the pile.

Some finishing touches included adding two tiny butterfly ephemera pieces, a sticker sentiment, and some Say It In Crystals for a bit of bling.

I hope that you enjoyed this project and how truly incredibly easy it is to make projects with Finn's acrylic paints! Until next time, happy crafting!
