With Memorydex cards, you generally think about the front and back already. But when you create a see-through card with acrylic, that sometimes requires a bit more thinking.
So let's get right into how I created this card so that you don't see any backs of embellishments that you may not want to see.
I started by cutting out the piece of acrylic with one of my Heidi Swapp memorydex dies. Then I cut the same die twice from some pick Tim Holtz cardstock. I then placed those cuts back to back, so the pink was facing out on both sides, and taped them together with a little bit of washi tape. I then ran those pink cards through, back to back with the Moroccan Tile slimline die.
I then used smart glue to glue both of the pink cut pieces onto the acrylic, being sure that I lined them up carefully. Next, I added a cute envelope from Paige Evan's surprise box line at Michael's. The backside of this was cute and the adhesive nearly invisible, so I decided not to worry about covering the back of it. So I only added a few sticker sentiments to the inside. I then glued a flower next to it and a chipboard ribbon sticker that had been in my stash for a while.
I added a heart paper clip from the same line by Paige Evens to the top of the Memorydex card. Next I stamped out a sentiment with Distress Oxide in Salvaged Patina and clipped it on with a Tim Holtz tiny clip.
On the backside, I glued another flower over the flower on the front, to cover up the glue. I also added a small flower to the back of the paperclip, to make it look cuter! Finally, I added a few Pinkfresh jewels, adding them on to the front and back, lining them up when they were glued on the acrylic.
And that's it! Super fun and another amazing use for your slimline background dies!
Happy Scrapping!
