How to Use the Stamp & Spin Tool to Create Wreaths

by - 7:00:00 AM

Want to learn how to use the new Sizzix Stamp & Spin tool to create layered wreaths? Want watercoloring tips for Distress Inks? Want to see the new Reveals Surfacez in action? You're in luck! I've got this and more in my latest YouTube tutorial!

This card may look simple but a whole bunch of different techniques went into it.

This card uses the new Sizzix Stamp & Spin tool to create the perfectly stamped wreath. I know there are other stamping platforms out there that do wreaths and repeated patterns, but let me just tell you why I think the Stamp & Spin, which works with the Stencil & Stamp platform, is the best one out there on the market.

Why the Stamp & Spin Tool?
First, if you already own the amazing Stencil & Stamp platform, lucky you--you already have half of what you need to make this card! The Stamp & Spin is designed to fit into the base of the Stencil & Stamp platform. So you don't have to have multiple bulky stamping platforms just to achieve different stamping effects!

Second, the Stamp & Spin tool is very ergonomic and easy to use. It fits nicely even in my small hands. Plus, the spin and click motion is very smooth. With every section you spin to, the tool clicks into place so you get a perfect wreath or pattern every time.

Third, the grid of concentric circles and pie sections on the tool itself make it so easy to line up different stamps for creating wonderful wreaths and patterns.

Finally, and this one is more about the Stencil & Stamp platform you use it with, is that there is no lip on the bottom of the platform. That means you can use even 12x12 sheets of cardstock. So scrapbookers rejoice in a stamping platform that doesn't bend or crease your paper or force you to fussy cut every stamped image out! Now you can stamp right on your background cardstock.
