This is a project I created quite some time ago but just never got around to photographing. Between my contract social media work, music groups and scrapbooking clients, squeezing in time to make and photograph my own projects is pretty low on the priority list.
Anyway, back to this project. It will be the first in a series of Alice in Wonderland themed projects, which I'm really looking forward to sharing with you.
I'd been wanting to make some altered or mixed media items that I could display in my scrap loft. And when I saw Echo Park's Alice in Wonderland collection, I knew I needed it for that very purpose.
I had this tall canister (my uncle left it behind after a visit, it held some fancy bottle of alcohol) that I wanted to alter with this collection from Echo Park. I don't know what I'll store in it, if anything, but it sure does look cute!
It was pretty simple to alter since I didn't use any mixed media techniques. I just picked out the elements I wanted to use, made my own paper flowers and got to work assembling it all.
Products Used
Echo Park: Alice in Wonderland - daydream, 6x6 pad, ephemera, chipboard accents, decorative brads, enamel dots, electronic cut file for Silhouette | Treasures: Cardstock - tickled pink | Webster's Pages: Designer Trim - winter fairy tales | Spellbinders: Shapeabilities - romantic vines | Tim Holtz: Distress Ink - mowed lawn, victorian velvet | Graphic 45: Staples Shabby Chic - ornate metal keys | Recollections: Flower Shoppe - blue butterflies
I just love the little Alice chipboard sticker element and the card with the quote about having tea or an adventure. This is perfect for my Alice Scraps Wonderland loft!
I hope you enjoyed this sweet little project!
Happy Scrapping!
Adrienne
