NSD Paper In Bloom: Ephemeral Textured Scrapbook Layout Tutorial

Create a sweet, layered scrapbook page using torn papers, ephemera and paper flowers from Prima Marketing and this video tutorial! 

Hi, crafty friend! We are celebrating (Inter)National Scrapbooking Day (NSD) so it's all about memory keeping today. 

I've got a new scrapbook layout tutorial video up sharing how you can create a dimensional and layered ephemera-based layout with torn papers, ephemera and of course, Prima flowers! 

This scrapbook page was based on and inspired by the layout sketch that Prima Marketing shared for their NSD Paper in Bloom challenge. (Prima also shared a card sketch if that is more your speed.) But make sure you join in on the fun because there will be some AMAZING prizes for 2 very lucky winners!

Now, on to the sweet details of this layout. From the sketch, I used the torn paper and layered paper cluster under the photo. I also used the diagonal composition. I used both Sweet Spring and Among the Wildflowers collections because I just love those pinks and purples together.

But while you are here, let's take a closer look at some of the details from this layout. First, are these sweet flowers. I just love the Soft and Fuzzy flowers from Sweet Spring. The velvet petals, tinsel and pearl centers are just darling! 

I also die cut some tiny butterflies from some of the leftover patterned papers and cardstock that I added to this layout as well. I think patterned paper die cuts are a great way to use up scraps--especially with tiny dies like these! 

I also incorporated some lace and twine into this project as well, to play off the textiles of the velvet flowers. 

I also added one mould from Among the Flowers to this layout--the little fence line, which I cast using Redesign's Casting Mix. 

And finally, I of course added some of the butterfly ephemera from Sweet Spring because who wouldn't want to add a ton of these beauties!?
