My heart is all a flutter with this monochromatic color scheme.
I love any shade of green-blue and blue-green. Prima always has a color day at the beginning of the month and for February of 2022, it is turquoise. So of course I had to make something!
It was the perfect excuse to also throw in a few Reneabouquets products that fit the color theme too. Earlier this month I shared a project with this same heart frame in lavender, but this time I used the patina blue one--it is still the month of love after all.
And in all honesty, I've had this project done for some time. I had some other obligations this month that needed to go out first, but, I had to make sure I shared this project before the end of the month!
I gave my canvas a layer of texture by adding some 3D gloss gel through a
stencil. Once it was dry, I painted the entire canvas with Prima's
impasto paint in jade. I also painted the flourish
mould with white gesso and then the same jade paint.
I attached the mould to the canvas with heavy body gel and then dry brushed the entire canvas with
white impasto paint. I then layered on my flowers from various previous Prima collections, including Zella Teal, Welcome to Paris and
Magical Love as well as a Finnabair
grungy succulent. I tucked in some lace flowers as well using a bit of collage medium.
I added on the
heart frame with heavy body gel then added a
large flower from Prima's Coffee Break collection on top. Next I dry brushed more white impasto paint to the flowers.
Finally, I added a bit of sparkle by applying
Glossy Accents to the flowers and sprinkling them with
glitter glass and glued down a few gems from the Zella Teal collection. I hope you love this project as much as I do. Until next time, happy crafting!
