This layout features a photo of a client's daughter and her friends eating donuts in a parking lot. It's obviously a candid photo as one girl is in the midst of biting into her donut. I kept the colors simple, taking inspiration from the photo: grey asphalt, tan slats of a building; then added a touch of blue and yellow for small punches of color.
This layout was very simple to make. I inked the edges of the background paper and then used a black watercolor paint and the bottom of a plastic cup to make the cup rings, stamping it onto the background paper. I added a few splatters for good measure then layered on other patterned papers under the photo matted on black cardstock.
I then made a mini manilla folder, splattering it with ink and added a cardstock title to the outside. Clipped to the inside are a few strips of Tim Holtz filmstrip with other photos from the album. To finish the layout off, I added a few stickers, some brads, enamel dots, flowers and a cork camera.
