This dreamy little layout started with a white base and some ink splatters. Then, I layered on a patterned paper from Prima's Heaven Sent collection. I distressed the edges this paper to add texture as well. I even used the little strips that get cut off at the top of the 12x12 sheets and layered them under some of the other papers and photo. I hate wasting so this is a great way to use these strips up.
In fact, I keep just about any scrap that looks useful. The lacy little strip of fussy cut paper was a small scrap I saved from another paper. More on that in a minute. After I layered the skinny strips over the base pattern paper, I brushed a light coating of white gesso over the paper strips to keep the multitude of patterns from getting overwhelming. To add back in some dimension, I pressed some more gesso through a stencil. Then, I added some yellow color mist to brighten it back up.
Next I matted the photo on some more Heaven Sent paper and tore the edges. I slipped another small piece of pattered paper in as well. I fussy cut some flowers and the lace border from another set of papers--remember that little scrap I talked about earlier that I saved. Waste not, want not!
Finally, I added some yellow trim and some flower clusters. I topped it all off with a cute chipboard sticker, some crystals and a little journaling.
